The internet abounds with do it yourself web design services, so why not?
No reason, really, if you’re an expert in information organization and management, writing and editing, graphic design, brand identity, search engine optimization, social media management, and a few other things, let alone the modicum of web coding knowledge that might make your site stand out from the pack.
Not to put too fine a point on it, without at least half these skills, your site will not have the impact you’re hoping for. It might even have the opposite effect if you haven’t edited carefully enough!
We love to see exciting new designs that pop outside the box, so if you can do it, go for it. But if you can’t, hire a professional, any professional—it doesn’t have to be us.
